Overview
This is a Yamaha VF115 V MAX SHO, model code VF115L, the extremely-high-output performance version of Yamaha's 115. It is powered by a 1,832 cc (1.8L) DOHC 16-valve in-line four-cylinder block with electronic fuel injection, tuned for a higher wide-open range of about 5,300-6,300 RPM for strong hole-shot and top speed. At roughly 377 lb it keeps the light weight of the F115 while adding SHO performance calibration, spinning a 2.15:1 gear ratio with a 35-amp alternator, electric start and power trim. This unit is a 20-inch ('L') long shaft with remote control, making it an excellent match for bass boats, aluminum multi-species rigs, bay boats and flats skiffs where quick planing and speed matter. It was offered as a late-model, low-availability example complete with switch box, cables and tach/trim meter. Inspected and sold with a clean bill of sale; freight-delivered.
