Overview

This is a 2018 Evinrude E-TEC G2 225 H.O., model code E225XH, a 225-horsepower High-Output direct-injection two-stroke built on Evinrude's second-generation 3,441 cc (3.4L) 74-degree V6. Thanks to efficient PurePower combustion, the G2 delivers roughly 20% more torque to jump on plane and out-hole-shot the competition, along with best-in-class fuel efficiency and the lowest total emissions in its class. It runs a full-throttle range of about 5,000-6,000 RPM through a 1.85:1 gear ratio, with electric start, power trim, integrated digital shift and throttle and a high-output alternator rated near 133 amps total and 50 net. This unit is the 25-inch ('X') shaft H.O. configuration, weighing roughly 545 lb, and is built for conquering big water on offshore center consoles and bay boats.
