Overview

This Suzuki DF115B is Suzuki's fourth-generation 115-horsepower four-stroke, built around a compact 2,044 cc in-line four-cylinder DOHC 16-valve powerhead with multi-point sequential electronic fuel injection. It is water-cooled, revs through a 5,000-6,300 rpm wide-open range, and turns a 2.59:1 gear ratio that swings a larger prop for strong hole-shot and efficient cruising. A 40-amp alternator keeps batteries and electronics charged, and this L configuration is a 20-inch long-shaft rig with electric start and power trim-and-tilt for effortless operation. At roughly 407 lb dry it is among the lightest, most compact motors in its class, and the DF115B was the first in its class to offer both mechanical and drive-by-wire digital controls. It runs on regular 87-octane unleaded fuel and is an excellent fit for freshwater, inshore and offshore fishing boats, bay boats, pontoons and mid-size center consoles.
