Overview

The Tohatsu MFS30A is a 30 hp four-stroke built on a 526 cc three-cylinder EFI powerhead that is prized for its light weight, smooth idle and excellent fuel efficiency. This unit is rigged with electric start, power trim and tilt, remote-control steering and a 20-inch long shaft, making it a clean primary motor for small fishing boats, RIBs, runabouts and tenders. Tohatsu rates it for roughly a 5,500-6,000 rpm full-throttle range through a 1.92:1 gearcase, giving crisp acceleration and easy planing on lightweight hulls. At about 166 lb it is one of the lighter EFI 30s available, and its three-cylinder layout runs noticeably smoother than twin-cylinder rivals for comfortable trolling, while an 18-amp alternator keeps the battery charged. Electronic fuel injection means choke-free starting and reliable performance in all conditions. Tohatsu builds many of the world's mid-range outboards, and the MFS30A is a proven, low-maintenance workhorse. Inspected and sold with a clean bill of sale; freight-delivered.
