Overview
The Tohatsu MFS30D is the latest-generation version of Tohatsu's 30 hp four-stroke, built on a 526 cc three-cylinder EFI powerhead engineered for excellent acceleration, reliability and quiet operation. It uses electronic fuel injection with electric start for choke-free, dependable cold starts, and its three-cylinder design idles smoothly for comfortable trolling. Tohatsu rates it for roughly a 5,500-6,000 rpm full-throttle range through a 1.92:1 gearcase, delivering strong hole-shot on lightweight hulls, and an 18-amp alternator keeps a battery charged for electronics. Light and compact at about 166 lb, it is a perfect fit for small fishing boats, jon boats, inflatable RIBs, runabouts and tenders, and it is offered in a 20-inch long-shaft configuration.
