Overview

This is a pre-owned Suzuki DF140B in the DF140BTGX configuration, a 140-horsepower four-stroke built on a 2,044 cc DOHC 16-valve inline-four with multi-point sequential electronic fuel injection. The BTG designation adds Suzuki's electronic Drive-By-Wire throttle and shift for smooth, precise control and easy multi-function or dual-engine rigging. Suzuki's offset driveshaft and 2.59:1 two-stage gear reduction swing a large propeller for excellent hole shot and efficient cruising, and Lean Burn control maximizes fuel economy. It runs a 5,000-6,000 rpm full-throttle range, is water-cooled, carries a 44-amp alternator, and this example is an extra-long 25-inch shaft with electric start and power trim and tilt. Delivered complete with remote control, cables and gauge, it suits offshore center consoles, bay boats, heavier pontoons and larger fiberglass hulls.
