Overview
This 2016 Mercury 60 hp EFI Command Thrust is a four-cylinder four-stroke built on a 995 cc (60.8 cu in) SOHC 8-valve powerhead with electronic fuel injection, and it has just 100 documented hours. The Command Thrust designation means it uses a larger 2.33:1 gearcase and a bigger-diameter propeller than the standard 60, generating extra thrust that is ideal for heavier pontoons, work skiffs and high-drag hulls. It is a 20-inch long-shaft unit with power trim and tilt, electric start and remote controls, and its 18-amp alternator keeps the battery topped for electronics. Mercury rates it for a 5,500-6,000 rpm full-throttle range, and at roughly 269 lb it delivers strong low-end grunt while staying smooth and economical. It comes complete with remote control, cables and gauge, and is described as running and cooling perfectly. It is an excellent repower for pontoons and utility boats that need extra push.
