Overview

This is a pre-owned Honda BF80 (marketed as 80 pk in Europe), an 80-horsepower four-stroke built on Honda's 1,496 cc inline-four with a 16-valve SOHC VTEC head and PGM-FI electronic fuel injection. VTEC variable valve timing helps the engine make strong top-end power from a small, light block while staying quiet and fuel-efficient at cruise. It runs a 5,000-6,000 rpm full-throttle range through a 2.33:1 gear ratio, is water-cooled with a thermostat, and carries a 44-amp charging alternator. This example is a 20-inch long shaft with electric start and power trim, and is fitted for tiller control with a multi-function trolling handle, delivered complete with an external fuel tank. It is well suited to aluminum fishing boats, jon boats, pontoons and small center consoles, and runs on regular 87-octane unleaded. Inspected and sold with a clean bill of sale; freight-delivered.
