Overview

This is a pre-owned 2018 Yamaha VF225 V MAX SHO in the 20-inch VF225LA configuration, a 225-horsepower four-stroke powered by Yamaha's 4,169 cc (4.2L) 60-degree V6 with a DOHC 24-valve head and electronic fuel injection. Like the rest of the V MAX SHO family it is lighter and quicker than many two-strokes, combining plasma-fused sleeveless cylinders, a long-track intake and a knock sensor for a hole shot fast enough to change the bass game. It turns 5,000-6,000 rpm at full throttle through a 1.75:1 gear ratio and provides robust charging of 50 amps from 2,500 rpm up to keep electronics and trolling motors topped off. This unit is a 20-inch long shaft with electric start and power trim and tilt, and runs on regular 87-octane fuel. It is a strong fit for high-performance bass boats, bay boats and offshore center consoles that want maximum acceleration and speed. Inspected and sold with a clean bill of sale; freight-delivered.
