Overview

The 2018 Evinrude E-TEC 75 (E75DPGL) is a 1,296 cc (79.1 cu in) in-line three-cylinder two-stroke using Evinrude's E-TEC direct-injection system, which fires a power stroke every revolution for the quickest time-to-plane and instant throttle response. It is a 20-inch long-shaft, graphite-finish unit with power trim and tilt, electric start and remote controls, and it produces up to 81 amps of total alternator output (25 amps net dedicated) to run electronics. Evinrude rates it for a full-throttle range around 5,000-5,500 rpm through a 2.00:1 gearcase, and at roughly 320 lb it repowers aluminum and fiberglass fishing boats, pontoons and skiffs with strong hole-shot. Because it is a modern DI two-stroke, it auto-mixes oil with nothing to premix and requires no scheduled dealer maintenance for the first several years and no oil changes.
