Overview

This is a pre-owned Yamaha VF250XB V MAX SHO, the high-performance version of Yamaha's 4.2-liter V6 tuned for speed. The 60-degree V6 displaces 4,169 cc (4.2 L) through a DOHC 24-valve powerhead with EFI and a long-track intake designed for maximum output, delivering 250 HP in a 5,300-6,300 rpm range. At roughly 505 lb it is remarkably light for its power, giving bass and bay boats an aggressive hole-shot and high top-end speed. The XB is the 25-inch (XL) shaft configuration with electric start, power trim and tilt, a 1.75:1 gear ratio and a 90-amp alternator for demanding electronics. The V MAX SHO line is engineered specifically for performance freshwater and inshore hulls — high-performance bass boats, flats boats and bay boats. Yamaha recommends 89-octane fuel for this engine.
