Overview

This is a pre-owned Yamaha VF115 V MAX SHO in the 25-inch VF115XB configuration, a 115-horsepower four-stroke built on a high-output 1,832 cc (1.8L) 16-valve inline-four with electronic fuel injection. Billed as Yamaha's fastest 115 four-stroke ever with a top speed near 51 mph, it uses a long-track intake system, free-flow exhaust and a knock sensor to deliver an aggressive hole shot, yet it weighs only about 377 lb, roughly ten pounds lighter than a competitor's two-stroke. It runs a higher 5,300-6,300 rpm full-throttle range through a 2.00:1 gear ratio, is water-cooled, and offers electric start with power trim and tilt. This unit is an extra-long 25-inch shaft, and the model is also offered in a 20-inch length. Light weight and quick acceleration make it a standout for bass boats, bay boats, flats skiffs and aluminum multi-species rigs, and it runs on regular 87-octane fuel.
