Overview

The Yamaha F60 is a 60-horsepower four-stroke built on a 996 cc (1.0 L) inline-four with a single overhead cam, eight valves and electronic fuel injection. The four-cylinder layout runs smoother and quieter than three-cylinder competition, revving to a 5,000-6,000 rpm wide-open range through a 1.85:1 gearcase, with a 16-amp alternator for charging. This F60FETL is a 20-inch long-shaft rigged with power trim and tilt, electric start and a deluxe multi-function tiller (with remote or trolling control), weighing about 253 lb. Yamaha's reputation for reliability, corrosion protection and fuel economy makes the F60 one of the most popular mid-range outboards on the water. It is well matched to aluminum fishing boats, jon boats, pontoons, RIBs and small center consoles. Delivered complete with tiller or remote control, cables and gauge.
