Overview

This pre-owned Yamaha 40 HP EFI four-stroke (model F40FEDL) is powered by a compact inline three-cylinder, 747 cc SOHC powerhead with electronic fuel injection for easy starting and quiet, fuel-efficient operation. It is rigged as a long-shaft (20 in) motor with electric start, power trim and tilt, and remote controls, and operates across a 5000-6000 rpm full-throttle range through a 2.00:1 gear ratio. At roughly 214 lb it is one of the lighter 40 hp four-strokes available, which helps preserve performance and payload on smaller hulls. Its 17-amp charging output keeps electronics and batteries topped up on the water. This makes it an excellent match for aluminum fishing boats, fiberglass runabouts, inflatables, and pontoons rated for 40 horsepower.
