Overview

This Yamaha F25 (F25GWHL) is a 25 hp four-stroke built on a 432 cc (26.4 cu in) in-line two-cylinder SOHC powerhead, set up with electric start, tiller control and a 20-inch long shaft. The combination of push-button starting and tiller steering makes it especially handy for anglers who want easy low-speed control for trolling, and its 16-amp alternator keeps a battery charged for accessories. Yamaha rates it for a 5,000-6,000 rpm full-throttle range through a 2.08:1 gearcase, giving smooth, strong acceleration. At roughly 137 lb it is easy to handle and repowers aluminum fishing boats, utility skiffs, inflatables and sailboat auxiliaries. EFI delivers choke-free starting and economical running, while the twin-cylinder design keeps it quiet and low-vibration. It is a reliable, well-equipped tiller motor for small boats.
