It is powered by Yamaha's 2,670 cc (2.7 L) in-line four-cylinder, DOHC 16-valve powerhead with electronic fuel injection, operating in a 5,000-6,000 rpm range. This unit is configured as an extra-long 25-inch (XL) shaft with power trim and tilt, electric start and mechanical remote control, and it comes complete with remote control, cables, a tachometer and a trim meter. Dry weight is about 476 lb and a 50-amp alternator supports batteries and electronics, turning a 1.86:1 gear ratio. The F150 is one of the most popular mid-size four-strokes ever built, valued for reliability, fuel economy and smooth power.
