The Yamaha VMAX SHO 90 (VF90) is a performance-tuned 90-horsepower four-stroke built on Yamaha's 1,832 cc DOHC 16-valve inline-four with electronic fuel injection. Part of the VMAX SHO line, it blends four-stroke reliability and fuel economy with the aggressive hole-shot and top-end that bass and bay anglers expect, spinning up to a full-throttle range near 5,300-6,300 rpm. It features electric start, power trim and tilt, remote control and a 35-amp alternator to run electronics and livewells. Sleek cowling styling and a lightweight design of roughly 359 lb keep it competitive against larger, heavier engines.
