Overview

This is a pre-owned Tohatsu BFT225DLRA, a 225-horsepower four-stroke built on Honda Marine's 60-degree V6 powerhead. It displaces 3,583 cc across six cylinders with a SOHC 24-valve VTEC valve train and programmed EFI, operating in a 5,000-6,000 rpm range and turning a 2.00:1 gear ratio. The DLRA is the 20-inch (L) long-shaft, standard-rotation configuration with electric start, power trim and tilt and mechanical remote steering. Dry weight is approximately 600 lb, and a high-output 90-amp alternator supports heavy electronics loads. Its big-block displacement and VTEC breathing deliver strong torque for pushing larger hulls, making it well suited to offshore center consoles, deep-vee boats, deck boats and larger pontoons. Tohatsu-badged BFT engines carry the same durability reputation as the Honda units on which they are based. Inspected and sold with a clean bill of sale; freight-delivered.
