Overview

This is a pre-owned Suzuki DF140A EFI, a 140-horsepower four-stroke powered by Suzuki's 2,044 cc in-line four-cylinder, DOHC 16-valve powerhead. It uses multi-point electronic fuel injection, runs in a 5,000-6,000 rpm range and turns a 2.59:1 gear ratio for strong hole-shot and load-carrying ability. The DF140A features electric start, power trim and tilt and mechanical remote steering, and is available in 20-inch and 25-inch shaft lengths. At roughly 408 lb it is light for its class, with a 40-amp alternator for charging batteries and electronics. Its combination of light weight, big-displacement torque and proven reliability makes it a favorite for bay boats, center consoles, pontoons, deck boats and aluminum multi-species hulls.
