Overview

This Suzuki DF30A (DF30ARL) is a 30 hp four-stroke built on a 490 cc three-cylinder DOHC 12-valve powerhead with multi-point sequential electronic fuel injection for strong, clean, economical running. It is set up with electric start, remote-control steering and a 20-inch long shaft, making it a tidy primary motor for aluminum boats, RIBs, tenders and small skiffs. Suzuki rates it for a 5,300-6,300 rpm full-throttle range, and its 2.09:1 gear ratio and larger displacement give it noticeably better torque and hole-shot than many 30s in its class. A 14-amp alternator keeps the battery charged, and at roughly 156 lb it is light enough to repower a wide range of small hulls. Suzuki's Lean Burn control and battery-friendly EFI make it economical to run all day. It is a reliable, well-proven choice for fishing and utility use.
