Overview

This is a pre-owned Honda BF150 XRU, the latest-generation 150-horsepower four-stroke built on Honda's 2,354 cc in-line four-cylinder, DOHC 16-valve VTEC powerhead. It uses programmed fuel injection and operates in a 5,000-6,000 rpm range while turning a 2.14:1 gear ratio. The XRU is the extra-long 25-inch (X) shaft, remote-control configuration with electric start, power trim and tilt, and mechanical shifting, delivered complete with remote control, cables and gauge. Dry weight is roughly 485 lb, and a 44-amp alternator supports batteries and electronics. The taller transom setup suits offshore center consoles, deep-vee hulls and larger boats, and Honda's VTEC breathing gives strong top-end power without sacrificing low-end torque.
