Overview
The Honda BF60 pairs a 998 cc (1.0 L) inline-three, SOHC, PGM-FI four-stroke with a lightweight 239-lb package to deliver 60 quiet, economical horsepower. Honda's BLAST acceleration system and Lean Burn Control balance strong throttle response with excellent fuel efficiency, and the engine runs to a 5,000-6,000 rpm range through a 2.33:1 gearcase with a 22-amp alternator. This 2023 example is a 20-inch long-shaft with power trim and tilt, electric start and remote controls, and shows only about 15 hours; its serial designation reflects a 40-hp rating originally, but it is set up and delivered as a full 60-hp BF60. Honda four-strokes are known for smooth, reliable long-term service. It is a great match for pontoons, aluminum fishing boats, RIBs and small runabouts.
