Overview

This Honda BF40 (model BF40 LRTU) is a 40-horsepower four-stroke built on an 808 cc in-line three-cylinder SOHC powerhead with programmed fuel injection (PGM-FI). Honda's BLAST (Boosted Low Speed Torque) system and lean-burn control give it strong hole-shot and impressive fuel economy, and at about 214 lb it is among the lightest in its class. It runs a 5000-6000 rpm full-throttle range through a 2.31:1 gear ratio, starts electrically, and is set up as a 20-inch long shaft with power trim and tilt and a deluxe multifunction tiller with trolling control. A 22-amp alternator keeps electronics and batteries charged. The light weight, torque and legendary Honda four-stroke durability make it well suited to aluminum fishing boats, jon boats, skiffs and small pontoons. It runs and cools correctly and is ready for many seasons of service. Inspected and sold with a clean bill of sale; freight-delivered.
