Overview

This is a pre-owned Evinrude E-TEC 90 HP outboard, model E90DPGL, built around Evinrude's acclaimed 1.3-liter (1295cc) inline-three-cylinder E-TEC direct-injection two-stroke powerhead. Unlike a carbureted two-stroke, E-TEC delivers every stroke as a power stroke with computer-controlled direct fuel injection, producing instant throttle response, the quickest time-to-plane in its class, and no scheduled dealer maintenance for the first three years or 300 hours. It turns a 2.00:1 gearcase, weighs about 320 pounds, and is tuned for a 5,000-5,500 rpm operating band. This unit is rigged as a 20-inch long shaft (the 'L' in the model code) with power trim and tilt (the 'P'), electric start, remote control, and Evinrude's graphite color panels. With no oil changes, no winterizing fogging and self-mixing oil injection, it is a low-maintenance, high-torque choice for aluminum boats, fishing rigs and pontoons in the 90-horsepower class.
