Overview

The Evinrude E60DSL is a 60-horsepower E-TEC outboard built on BRP's in-line two-cylinder direct-injection two-stroke platform, displacing 863 cc (52.7 cu in) with a 3.62 x 2.60 in bore and stroke. Because every revolution is a power stroke, the E-TEC delivers exceptionally quick time-to-plane and instant throttle response, while computer-controlled direct injection keeps combustion clean and eliminates break-in and scheduled dealer maintenance for years. It carries a 5500-6000 rpm wide-open range, starts electrically, and rides on a 20-inch long shaft, making it a natural fit for aluminum fishing boats, tiller and console rigs, pontoons and small center-consoles. A stout 81-amp total alternator (25 amps net dedicated) keeps electronics and accessories charged, and there is no oil to premix or change since the engine automatically meters its own oil. At roughly 240 lb it stays light on the transom for its output. This is a dependable mid-range option for anglers who value fast acceleration and low maintenance.
