Overview

The Evinrude E50DSL is a 50-horsepower E-TEC outboard, a direct-injection two-stroke built on Evinrude's 863 cc (0.86 L) two-cylinder powerhead. Unlike a four-stroke, every revolution is a power stroke, so the E-TEC plants the boat on plane quickly and pulls hard from idle while burning fuel and oil cleanly through computer-controlled direct injection. There are no oil changes and no dealer-scheduled maintenance for three years or 300 hours, and the engine self-winterizes. This DSL is a 20-inch long-shaft with electric start, power trim and tilt, and remote controls, and it carries an 81-amp total charging system. Quiet, light and torquey, it suits aluminum fishing boats, tiller-to-console conversions, pontoons and small fiberglass runabouts. Inspected and sold with a clean bill of sale; freight-delivered.
