Overview

The Evinrude E30DTSL is a 30-horsepower tiller-steer E-TEC outboard built on the in-line two-cylinder direct-injection two-stroke powerhead displacing 577 cc (35.2 cu in). E-TEC technology fires a power stroke every revolution for lively acceleration and strong torque, while automatic oil metering and stratified low-rpm combustion eliminate premixing, break-in and dealer-scheduled maintenance for years of use. It runs a 5500-6000 rpm full-throttle range on a 2.15:1 gear ratio, starts electrically, and is configured as a 20-inch long shaft with a tiller handle for direct hands-on control. A 56-amp total alternator (15 amps net dedicated) provides charging for a light electronics package. Its light 181 lb weight and simple tiller operation make it ideal for jon boats, skiffs, small aluminum fishing boats, tenders and sailboat auxiliary duty.
